Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
MilestoneMaster is an AI-assisted goal-tracking app, published by MilestoneMaster LLC ("MilestoneMaster," "we," "us"). This policy explains what personal information the MilestoneMaster app and this website collect, why, and who we share it with. It covers the mobile app (Android and iOS) and milestonemasterapp.com.
This policy doesn't cover payment or subscription data, because MilestoneMaster does not yet process any purchases. We'll update this policy, in advance of launch, once in-app subscriptions go live and name the payment processor involved.
2. What we collect
Account information
To create an account you give us an email address, or you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, in which case we receive your email and (if you allow it) your name from that provider — we never see your Google or Apple password. We also record your device's region (used only to set sensible defaults like metric vs. imperial units and currency) and the timestamp of your consent to this policy.
Content you create in the app
Goal titles, descriptions, target numbers and dates, progress entries, habit check-ins, project steps, and your conversations with the Coach. This is the core of what the app does, stored so it's there next time you open the app on any device.
Device and usage information
Your device's language and time zone, app version, and coarse usage events like "goal created" or "Coach message sent" — not their content, just that they happened. We also generate an anonymous, non-resettable hash from your device to slow down abuse of free-tier limits; it isn't tied to an advertising ID and isn't used to track you across other apps.
Diagnostic information
If the app crashes or errors, we automatically receive a crash report — what happened, which screen, a stack trace — plus a sample of performance traces. See section 3 for what this specifically does and doesn't include.
3. The AI Coach and Anthropic
The Coach is powered by Claude, made by Anthropic. When you message the Coach, we send Anthropic's API:
- the message itself, and recent messages from that conversation (or a short summary of older ones);
- a compact summary of your goals — titles, progress, pace, streaks — so replies are relevant;
- your device language, so it can reply in it.
This only happens when you use the Coach, never in the background. Under Anthropic's current commercial API terms, this data is not used to train Anthropic's models and is retained only as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Messages are moderated automatically for safety (self-harm risk, illegal activity, and similar) before a reply is generated, on our own servers. You can clear your Coach conversation history at any time in the app — Profile → Data → Clear Coach history — see Delete specific data for details.
4. How we use your information
- To provide the app: sync your goals and progress, show charts and streaks, generate Coach replies.
- To send reminders you've asked for.
- To keep the service reliable and secure: diagnosing crashes, preventing abuse of free-tier limits, enforcing AI usage guardrails.
- To understand, in aggregate, which parts of the app are used or confusing.
- To communicate with you about your account.
We do not use your goal content, Coach conversations, or account information to serve advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
5. Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run MilestoneMaster, each bound to use it only to provide their service to us, never for their own marketing:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of MilestoneMaster or our users. If MilestoneMaster is ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer as part of that deal, under the protections of this policy.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and app content for as long as your account is active. Crash/performance data and analytics events follow their providers' rolling retention windows. If you delete your account, your goals, entries, milestones, steps and Coach conversations are permanently deleted from our live database, not just hidden — though deleted data may still persist for up to 7 days in our encrypted daily database backups before those backups themselves age out.
7. Your rights and choices
- Export your data: email us and we'll send you a copy of your goals, entries, milestones and Coach history. Requesting this in the app directly is coming soon.
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Profile → Data → Delete account and confirm — this is immediate. See our Delete Account page for exactly what's removed, or to delete by email instead. This can't be undone.
- Correct or update: edit your goals, profile and preferences directly in the app.
- Access, portability, objection: if you're in the EU/EEA, UK or similar, you may request access, correction, or a portable copy, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us below.
- California residents: we do not sell or "share" (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA) your personal information.
8. Children's privacy
MilestoneMaster is not directed at children and is not available to anyone under 18, worldwide. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Security and international transfers
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS), and database access is restricted by row-level security so only you (and the automated services generating your Coach replies and reminders) can read your rows. No API keys or service credentials ship inside the app. Because our providers operate internationally, your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including the United States; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes — such as adding in-app purchases, a new AI provider, or a new category of data — we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app before they take effect.
